OK so you're about to gain a new ability, or so you at least think?
Well then what you should do is to send over a mail to The Gamemaster and ask about just that. And suggest what kind of new ability you want. Very likly you will get your choice for abilities gained after gamestart, but its not assured. Your abilties are often like those your ancestors had, so perhaps you get something else instead.
